An enormous thankyou to everyone who came to the 'Pampered Chef Evening' last Friday. We made nearly £110.00 in commission in addition to our ticket sales. The orders should be available for collection by the beginning of next week. I will let you know when they arrive. A big thankyou to Liz for suggesting the event and to everyone who helped out on the night.
The next event takes place next Sunday (11th March). It is a trail with an avian theme starting at Gardiner's Quarry(opposite The Kettle Sings) at 10.30am. There will be a choice of two routes – a short 30 minute circuit and a slightly longer, more exacting route of about 40 minutes. The cost is £1.00 per adult and 50p per child and there will be some refreshments on sale. It would be a good idea to wear stout shoes/wellies and old clothes for this event. There will be a P.T.A. meeting on Wednesday (7th. March) to finalise arrangements. Do come along if you can!
The final event for the term is the Easter Egg Hunt – nicknamed 'The Bunny Trail'. This takes place on Sunday 25th. March at 10.30am at St. Wulstan's Nature Reserve. For this event, we would be grateful if you could donate Easter Eggs. We would like to have enough Easter Eggs for every child who takes part in the event so please help if you can.
Jo has very kindly agreed to coordinate our 'Decorate An Egg Cup' competition and it would be great if as many children as possible took part in it. There will be a prize for the winner in each class and also a prize for the best younger sibling's egg cup. Any egg cups left over after the competition will be available for purchase if you are short of egg cups in your kitchen!
Finally, the DVDs are now available for order at £5.00. If you would like photographs you need to place your order by 16th March so that Robert can place a large order with the photographic company. If you didn't get a chance to see the photographs at Parents' Evenings, then we can arrange for you to see a thumbnail sheet of them from which you can select your photographs. Once again, many thanks to Robert for all of his hard work.
I hope that you feel able to participate in, and more importantly enjoy the the events/activities that we have prepared for you.
